Kyla Ross withdraws from Worlds selection camp

Kyla Ross has decided to withdraw from Worlds selection camp (which will be held October 6-9).

“Kyla and her coaches have let us know that she will not be attending the selection camp,” said Rhonda Faehn, senior vice president for women’s gymnastics in this document. “We respect and support Kyla’s decision. Kyla continues to be a tremendous asset to the U.S. Women’s National Team and her dedication, talent and accomplishments have contributed to the USA’s success on the international stage.”

This year Kyla did not seem as great as she used to and it just looked like she couldn't stand all the hard work, also due to some new upgrades she was showing after many years of presenting the same routines.
Let's remember that Kyla hasn't rested since she started competing elite in 2009. She never took a break, she's always been the team leader after the Olympics and she's also grown up very much in the last years. After London 2012 she attended just a few shows of the Kellogg's Tour and then came straingt back to the gym. She achieved great individual results. In fact, besides gaining a spot on the Olympic team in her first senior year, she is the Fierce Five member with more individuals medals: she got three silvers in 2013 (AA, UB and BB) and an AA bronze in 2014.

Even though my heart broke a little when I first read this news, I think this is not actually a bad news.
The most important thing now is that she takes the rest she deserves and be happy and serene.
I've always esteemed this girl so much (besides loving her gymnastics style): she looks so mature, serious, dedicated, reliable and in generale she seems a very nice person. I'm sure that a more serene and calm period is much needed and will show its results.

We love you Kyla, and we'll always support you no matter what Emoticon heart #RossIsBoss
