On September 12 a Romania vs France friendly meet will be held in Izvorani.
It will be the first meet on the road to Glasgow Qualifying World Championships, and also the comeback of the amazing gymnast Catalina Ponor, out from competitions since London 2012.
Catalina herself said on Instagram that she's very excited about this competition but her actual comeback will be at the end of September. Here is her message.
Morever, we'll finally have the chance to see Romanian stars Larisa Iordache and Diana Bulimar back in action. They surprinsingly recovered on time from their injuries. "Didi" will compete on three events (UB, BB, FX).
I can't wait to see them three compete! If they're at a good point of their preparation they'll likely carry their nation, which lately lacked of some depth and consistency, towards the Olympic qualification.
The competition format will be the same as Glasgow's. As host country, Romania can add another gymnast to the six of the team.
The competition will be held on Saturday morning, without public because the rooms lacks the necessary facilities.
